Scams VS. Freelancers

Being a freelancer is not only benefits, far from it. If you think that freelancing is a great way to earn some extra money while sitting on the sofa in pajamas, this is only partially correct. Similarly to any other profession, freelancing comes with a number of risks such as "scamming".

The scammers are in every corner of the cyber world and are there because it is still "easy" to fool someone when we cannot see the other person, for example. There are many websites or blogs that inform you how to stay away from "scammers", but the truth is that any self-respecting freelance professional and by that I mean, one who has a career already relatively stable and long, has already been "tricked" or “scammed” . As freelancers, we have to work on third-party sites and some a bit more reputable such as Elance, among others, where there are customers who subcontract us for a job that will be done by us, the freelancer. The problem is that these "customers" are not always reliable and often not pay the translators, it happened to me with a customer called "PROTRANS" the contact person was Mr. Graham C, in one of these third-party websites. In short, there is no special way not to be deceived and sometimes even if careful it will eventually happen. However, although there is much deception in the world of freelancers, it is still an excellent method of work.
